As the Lenten season begins on Ash Wednesday, we are called by the Church to pray, fast, and do works of mercy. Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days
of fast and abstinence. Lent is a penitential season of prayer, self-denial and
helping others. In this way, the Church prepares for Easter and joyfully welcomes those adults who have completed the RCIA programme and consequently
be baptised during the Easter Saturday Vigil Mass.
