Bateman Catholic Parish in cooperation with Catholic Youth Ministry held the first Stronger Youth Rally for 2014. The theme of the rally was Lent: a journey to Easter. The night began with some music and games then there was a short video and talk about Lent as a preparation for Easter. Sheldon Burke gave the talk which was informative and humorous with references to pop culture. Aura Becerra gave a moving testimony about her own journey of faith. A journey which had difficulties but she shared how God worked through those difficulties which makes her the person she is today. We broke into small groups for discussion and then wrote out Lenten practices which were placed at the food of the cross. We finished up the evening with some songs and a wonderful meal.
