The Parish Columbarium featured in an architecture magazine earlier this year and in the national Architecture journal more recently. This gives testament to the unique design of the buildings. I have been very grateful to all those who were involved in the Columbarium project from inception to completion. No one person could have done all that was required to conceive the idea, design, build and create 3 beautiful buildings in peaceful surroundings. The columbarium committees before and after construction, policy, parishioners, builder, landscape designer, various workers and architect, all made significant contributions to the success of the project. In addition, I am grateful to Mr Simon Pendal for conceptualising the unique design and give him our congratulations for winning the WA small projects award. For parishioners wishing to have final placement of remains in the columbarium, they have the advantage of the buildings being located in parish grounds close to the Blessed Sacrament. The niches are set in 3 stately buildings situated in a tranquil garden setting inspiring quiet reflection, peaceful hearts and hope in the Lord.
