There are many people to thank for making the Saint Thomas More Feast Day Celebration and farewell to Chris De Freitas such a happy occasion. Thank you to Michelle Lowth and her team for providing activities for the children; to the army of volunteers who worked tirelessly in the kitchen; to all the people who brought food to share and to visitors and parishioners who came to honour Chris and bid him farewell. Chris’ farewell speech reminded us of the need for prayer – for himself, his fellow seminarians and for Father Phong who was his Spiritual Father for the 4 months. Please pray for Fathers Phong and Anibal who carry out their priestly responsibilities in a very busy parish. Father Phong has requested prayers for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life. God bless, Bateman Parish Pastoral Council.
