Our Lady of Sorrows Prayer Group would like to invite you to join us on a Thursday afternoon at 1pm in the Albert Lynch room at St. Benedict’s Church, Applecross.
We began as a Charismatic Group nearly 30 years ago but have become more contemplative and reflective and essentially a Faith Sharing Group.
There is no need for commitment as you can just come whenever it suits you, but we do ask that you arrive promptly at 1pm as we settle from our busy lives with some gentle music.
We then have Thanksgiving prayers, some short teaching given by one of the group, sometimes some faith sharing that is interactive but you are not obliged to join in, and then Intercessory Prayers for our World, Leaders of our Country and Church, Disadvantaged, Family and Friends etc.
We end at 2.30pm and share a cup of tea and have some fellowship.
Prayer is about “being connected and making connections” (Mitchell) and that is what we try to do.
Most of us are maturing and have wonderful wisdom we would love to share, we have been such a good support for one another through the ups and downs of life!
