MIGRANT JUBILEE CROSS PILGRIMAGE – SAT 2ND MAY 2026 at 3-9PM
The travelling boat is an initiative of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference to extend the graces and joy of the 2025 Jubilee Year and to acknowledge the significant contributions made by the migrant population in Australian Society.
The Jubilee cross has 4 relics for veneration. Saint Thomas More Parish Bateman is privileged to be included in the 2 week tour of Perth; and is one of only 8 parishes to be hosting the cross.
In a spirit of hospitality and generosity, all other parishes who may wish to participate in the parish program will be welcomed to our community and in our church.

RELICS: Four relics are imbedded in the cross:
Relics of the Holy Family, fragments from the:
- Holy Crib of Our Lord
- Veil of the Blessed Virgin Mary
- Cloak of St Joseph
(on loan from the order of discalced Augustinians)
Relic from the 1914 original cedar coffin of St Mary of the Cross Mackillop
(gifted by the sisters of Saint Joseph of the Sacred Heart)
When venerating the relics you are welcome to touch the cross.
PROGRAM: Please maintain a respectful silence inside the church.
· 2:30pm: Arrival
· 3:00pm – 4:00pm: Veneration of Relics.
· 4:00pm – 5:00pm: Procession down Murdoch Drive
· 5:00pm – 5:30pm: Veneration (5:15pm – 6:00pm: Reconciliation)
· 5:30pm – 6:00pm: Our Lady of Perpetual Help Novena (please remain in the pews during the novena)
· 6:00pm – 7:00pm: Holy Mass
· 7:00pm – 9:00pm: Veneration
· 7:00pm – 9:00pm: Tea and coffee available
FIRST SATURDAY COFFEE AND JUBILEE CROSS
Tea and Coffee will be served immediately after mass.
(Self serve after 7:45 pm until close of the visit).
