WEDNESDAY FAITH PROGRAM – 9TH SEPTEMBER
In the coming session on Wed, 9th Sep, we continue looking at Bishop Robert Barron’s video series entitled:
Conversion – (Following the Call of Christ). Bishop Baron is the founder of Word on Fire.
In the previous session we saw the conversion stories of Bartimaeus (the blind man) and the rich young man.
Now we will look at the calling of Matthew and Jonah and their true conversion.
They were people just like you and me going about daily routine of life and called to a better life to serve God.
In the hands of the dynamic Bishop Barron, these familiar stories become inspirational journeys of humility and courage, the call of Christ, change and trust.
In Matthew we will see, from a tax collector, the circumstances that leads him to become a Disciple of Jesus and
Jonah who at first runs as far as possible from God and later renews his choice and makes a round about turn.
So come and be inspired to Conversion. The next video session is on 9th Sep, in the Parish meeting room from 10am-11.30am .
Dates for your diary:
- 9 Sept: The Calling of Matthew and Jonah
- 23 Sept: The Woman at the well and the Journey of the Magi
All are welcome. Bring a mug if you wish to make a cuppa for yourself. There will be a short reflection and sharing between the two stories in each session.
