Welcome!

As Parish Priest, I  would personally like to welcome you to our Bateman Community of St Thomas More.

Our parish motto is:

A House of Welcome to All and a Place of Service to All (Christifideles Laici, 1988).

This is what we strive to be and I hope and pray that this is what you will experience as you become part of our community.

A parish is called to be a sign of Gods Kingdom. This we become more and more when we allow the Holy Spirit to gather us as a community in prayer and worship of God, when we answer Gods invitation to use our gifts to build his kingdom and when we reach out to each other in fellowship and love.

As I welcome you to our community, I also invite you to help us in God’s work of salvation of all humankind. It is in the witness of our faith that we will find the joy and peace that the Holy Spirit brings.
