The next session on Wed 28 Aug features the powerful conclusion of our video series on St Paul’s letter to the Galatians, based on Galatians chapter 6. Renowned theologian Jeff Cavins hails Paul as the ‘super apostle’ who suffered in order to bring the gospel of Christ to the gentiles.
Paul considered himself as being ‘crucified with Christ, bearing his marks.’
In his articulate and courageous way Paul explains the “law of Christ” – the new law of love which Jesus proclaimed in his Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). It is a love that demands us to patiently and gently correct those who have strayed from the path, and to encourage them to seek restoration through the church (Sacrament of Reconciliation). In conclusion, Paul declares that we are a new creation in Christ, and we should live in freedom and love, guided by the Holy Spirit.
All are welcome to the session even if you have not been to previous ones. The 45-min
video begins at 10am and is followed by reflection and optional sharing till 11.30am.
Do come early to prepare yourself a cuppa before we start.
